2025 First Day Hike

Start your year outside with a leisurely hike down the newly opened Tunnel Trail.

This self-guided hike can be as short or as long as you want to make it.  Start at park headquarters down the Tunnel Trail and cut down the pipeline to the parking lot to do a 1/2 mile hike.  Continue on the Tunnel Trail to the Leon Prairie and Campbell Trails to make it a 2+ mile hike.  Along the way enjoy the inspirational quotes to start the New Year off right.

Ranger Heather will be waiting for you in the day-use area so you can record your mileage and receive a sticker.

Finish your hike with a warm drink.
