First Day Hikes is a national-led effort that encourages individuals and families to experience, with a seasoned guide, the beautiful natural and cultural resources found in the outdoors and in doing so may inspire them to take advantage of these treasures throughout the year and an individual’s lifetime. Nature has been proven to boost our moods and make us feel healthy and exploring the outdoors is the perfect way to start the new year.

Location: Hike is at the park's Madrone campsite along the Beck Trail. Meet at the Madrone campsite at the start of the Beck trail by 10 am.. Hike will end at 11a.m

Parking: Parking is $5. The hike is Free.

What to Expect: Join us for our New Year’s Day Renewal Hike! This is a family friendly 1.5-mile hike, along an easy to moderate trail (Beck Trail).  

Length of Hike: 1.0 mile, 1 hours

Preparation: Bring water, dress in layered clothing, bring sunscreen and comfortable hiking shoes. Strollers are not recommended

Special Instructions: Rain will cancel hike.

Ages: Family friendly.
