Guided Discovery Hike 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.  - Lee's Woods Trail

Follow a Ranger on this guided hike to learn about the history and wildlife that make Leesylvania State Park unique. Expect a moderate walk of about 2 miles.

The trail is not stroller friendly and has a compacted gravel and dirt surface. Meet at the Lee's Woods trailhead. Wear comfortable shoes and don't forget a reusable water bottle!

New Year Scavenger Hike, Self Guided: Guide your children through the short, Visitor Center Trail  while looking for wildlife and important components of our local ecosystem. Scavenger hunt sheets can be collected at the Visitor Center.

The Visitor Center will have adventure backpacks to check out and the opportunity to warm up by a campfire. If you have any questions please contact the Visitor Center at 703-583-6904 or [email protected].

Remember: Dress for the weather. Leashed pets are welcome on the trails but are not allowed inside the Visitor Center. Parking fees are waived for the day. See you there!
