Now that we've said goodbye to 2024, let's welcome in 2025 with a very family friendly First Day Hike at the Lowville Forestry Demonstration Area. Please be prepared for the weather and dress accordingly.

Nestled on 92 acres of the historic Lowville Tree Nursery, the arboretum is a haven for nature lovers. With over 300 species and cultivars of trees and shrubs, diverse wildlife, and serene natural beauty, the demonstration area offers endless opportunities for exploration. From leisurely strolls along the trails to breathtaking views from the observation tower, there's something for everyone.

We will meet at the main parking area at 10:00 a.m. and explore this beautiful park until noon.
