First Day Hike at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park

Start the New Year off with some fresh air and a refreshing hike. Our journey will let us explore the forest while also helping us discover how to stay energized all year long!
Dress for the weather with warm clothes and boots.
Meet at the park picnic shelter.
The program is free to attend, but a vehicle permit is required for all motor vehicles entering the park. It is $7 for a day or $35 for a 12 month permit. Permits can be purchased online or at the park office.
Directions
From I-35 take State Hwy. 19 east into Northfield. Go south on State Hwy. 3, east on State Hwy. 246, then turn right onto Co. Rd. 29 and follow signs.
