Start your new year with a warm story about animals in the snow while strolling on Lake Ponder Trail. Join a park interpreter in a read-aloud of Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner. This story is appropriate for kids ages 3 – 7, but everybody is welcome. Although the First Day Hike is a one-time event, the StoryWalk can be enjoyed as a self-guided activity. Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner will be on display from Friday, December 20, 2024 – Sunday, January 5, 2025. Lake Ponder Trail is a 0.5-mile, flat, paved, and ADA-accessible trail. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy walking shoes.
