Start the new year with a photo scavenger hunt at Powhatan State Park. Your mission is to search for items around the park and take photos to complete a park bingo board. The first three successfully completed bingo boards that are submitted in person to the park office will be awarded a prize from the gift shop! Pick up your copy of the bingo board and instructions from the Park Office on the first of the year from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Remember to dress for the weather, wear comfortable footwear, and stay hydrated.

About First Day Hikes
Virginia State Parks celebrates First Day Hikes. This nationwide initiative invites people to ring in the new year by connecting with nature and making lasting memories at a state park. Ranger-led and self-guided First Day Hikes are offered across the state, giving visitors of all ages and skill levels the chance to explore outdoors. January 1 is a Free Parking Day at all Virginia State Parks. (The admission fee at Natural Bridge still applies).
