"For The Bay 5K" is a fundraiser for Mobilize Love, a Menlo Church ministry partner, providing academic support, mentorship, and life skills training to under-resourced youth in the Bay Area. Mobilize Love's mobile after-school programs and human services address physical needs, develop life skills, and build community, fostering flourishing lives for children and families.

Each increment of $32,000 covers the cost of providing after school services to kids in resource-challenged public schools for the year. These after-school services are characterized by:

Serving over 300 kids per week during our after school programs

Developing literacy and numeracy skills

Providing Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) 

Introducing and sharing the Gospel

Providing nutritious and delicious meals-You can't learn if you're hungry

Establishing a consistent presence and trust
