Soulful vibrant and creative arc just a few words that just describes creative. Carlos "Scooter" Brown. Brown is a native of East St. Louis. Illinois. Brown graduated from Northern Illinois University with his degree in communications with an emphasis in media studies.

While in college, he gained the experience of being a bandleader and studied with saxophonists Rich Moore and Geof Bradfield. Throughout his career, Carlos "Scooter" Brown has played with Sy Smith. Gregory Porter, Bilal. Keyon Harold, Casey Benjamin, Terrace Martin, Terrence Blanchard. Pharoahe Monch. Shedrick Mitchell. Sean Jones and many more!

Scooter Brown likes to refer to his music as "Life Music". "I like to think of real life situations that people can latch on to take them somewhere totally different. My job is to help wipe away the troubles that people might faced before coming to hear me play or spin a set."
