8:00 a.m: 17th Annual Taylor County Race for Literacy 5K
Location: Reynolds Ball Park, Intersection of S Liberty St and S Boundary St, Reynolds, GA 31076
Lace up your running shoes and support literacy in our community! The 17th Annual Taylor County Race for Literacy 5K is happening on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Reynolds Ball Park in Reynolds, GA. This event is part of the 2025 Run and See Georgia Grand Prix Series and the Macon Tracks Club’s OrthoGeorgia Race Series.

10:00 a.m: Sweetest Pet Parade
It’s time to showcase your furry friends at the Sweetest Pet Parade on April 26, 2025, during the Georgia Strawberry Festival in Reynolds, GA

Parade Details:
Costume Theme: Dress your pets in fun, strawberry-themed costumes! Costumes must be safe, comfortable, and non-restrictive.
Participation Rules:
Pets must be on a leash or in a suitable carrier.
Pets must be in good health and current on vaccinations.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Pets must be handled by the registered owner or a designated handler during the event.

Parade Start Location: Calhoun Street near the First Baptist Church by the red light in downtown Reynolds
Prize Ceremony Location: Main Gazebo on William Wainwright Street

2:30 p.m: Calling All Weenie Dogs
Get ready for the 8th Annual Weenie Dog Race at the Georgia Strawberry Festival—a crowd-favorite event perfect for dog lovers of all ages.
Only Dachshunds or Dachshund mixes are allowed to compete, and each pup will race in heats with the winners advancing to the championship. Prizes include trophies for the top three racers, so bring your fastest (and cutest) furry friend.
