Giocosa Chamber Music is a collaborative chamber music project. Founded in 2018 by longtime friends, violinist Heather Goodchild Wade and cellist Elizabeth Schultze, their chamber music journey began as a string quartet. In 2022, Giocosa moved to the collaborative format, which includes a roster of extraordinary guest artists with whom they make a variety of chamber ensembles each season. Their guests come from Manhattan, Boston, Providence, and right here on Cape Cod. Giocosa's mission is to make a meaningful contribution to the vibrant musical community here on the Cape. Their concerts are infused with virtuosity, integrity, and relevance for a modern audience.
Tonight’s performers include Heather Goodchild Wade, violin; Jesse Holstein, violin; Danielle Farina, viola; and Elizabeth Schiltze, cello, with a program including Charles Griffes: 2 Sketches on Indian (Native American) Themes, George Gershwin: Lullaby for String Quartet, Jessie Montgomery: Strum, and Antonin Dvorak: String Quartet #12 (American).
