The Holiday Adventure Camp is a one-day immersive experience where children can dive into the magic of the season while learning through engaging science activities, creative crafts, and interactive exhibits. Designed for ages 1st and 2nd graders, this camp is filled with hands-on learning, teamwork, and festive fun, making the holiday break an exciting and educational experience.

Camp Schedule:

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Welcome & Icebreaker Games
Children will arrive and be greeted by camp counselors. The day begins with fun icebreaker games to help kids meet new friends and get excited about the day's adventures.

9:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Winter Science Explorers
Campers will engage in holiday-themed science experiments, including making "snow" in the classroom, exploring the chemistry of candy canes, and creating their own mini ice sculptures that they can melt with salt.

10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Snack Break
Children will enjoy a light snack and take a short break to recharge before the next activity.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Holiday Craft Workshop
Children will make their own holiday ornaments, snowflakes, and festive decorations using craft supplies like glitter, sequins, and paint. These crafts will be great keepsakes to take home and hang on the family tree.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch Break
Campers will eat their packed lunches together and enjoy some free play time in the museum's play areas.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Gingerbread Engineering Challenge
Children will work in small groups to design and build gingerbread houses! Using graham crackers, icing, and candy, they'll learn about basic engineering principles like balance and structure in a fun, edible way.

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Cookie Decorating & Hot Cocoa
It's time for holiday treats! Campers will decorate their own cookies with icing, sprinkles, and candy. Afterward, they can enjoy a cup of hot cocoa as they share their creations with friends.

3:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Holiday Storytime and Ornament Making
Children will gather for a cozy storytime featuring classic holiday tales. Afterward, they'll sing along to favorite holiday songs, led by camp counselors.

3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Wrap-Up & Farewell
The day will close with a reflection on what campers learned and their favorite parts of the day. Children will receive a special holiday goodie bag to take home, filled with their crafts, a small gift, and a holiday-themed activity sheet.
