Major change to Holiday Lightapalooza this year for safety reasons. Around the country in parades, there have been many children injured, some fatally, by parade floats in all the excitement. The past few years we have had several close calls here on the dark and icy streets.

To that end, this year, the light parade floats will be stationary at the park on Southwick Street the entire evening. Floats can hand out candy and treats, the community can get up close and vote for their favorites online. The park will be beautifully lit, there will be free hot chocolate and cookies, music, vendors, and of course, Santa will be at the gazebo to visit with the children. This is a fantastic opportunity to promote local organizations.
