In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation, Liberation is a poignant and deeply moving theatrical experience that weaves history, faith, and the enduring human spirit into one unforgettable story.

Set in the aftermath of Korea's hard-won independence, the play follows two women whose lives were shaped by impossible choices during the occupation. One chose survival at any cost, while the other stood unwavering in her beliefs. Now, as they reunite in a quiet park, the weight of their past decisions lingers between them. Through raw and intimate conversations, buried truths begin to surface, forcing them to confront guilt, sacrifice, and the meaning of true freedom.

With the evocative sounds of the gayageum, Korea's traditional zither-like instrument, Liberation blends music and storytelling to create a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere. The play explores the personal cost of war and oppression, not through battles and politics, but through the quiet, deeply human struggles of those left to live with the consequences.
