Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area to host Thru Hiker – Jim Warnock

(ROGERS, Ark.) – At 2:00 pm, on Sunday May 11, 2025, well-seasoned Thru-Hiker Jim Warnock will be at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area to share some of his secrets to being a successful Thru-Hiker with his free program, “Hiking with a Happy Body: Easy Tricks to Lower Pack Weight While Staying Clean and Healthy on the Trail.”

Thru-Hiking is hiking a long trail from one end to the other end in a single, continuous journey. Thru-Hikes can be hundreds to thousands of miles in length and take weeks or even months to complete. The challenges are physical, mental, and financial.

Jim’s program will focus on easy-to-do adjustments you can make in how you pack, what you eat, and how you care for the most vulnerable parts of your body whether on short hikes or multi-day backpacking trips. Just for fun, Jim will have a few door prizes that weigh just 0.4 ounces and eliminate the need to carry toilet paper forevermore.
