Laptop Ensemble Workshop & Performance

Turn your laptop into a versatile and expressive musical instrument while exploring electronic music repertoire that is easy to learn and fun to play together. In this free workshop, participants will learn three pieces written for a laptop ensemble and perform them immediately afterward in the evening Sound Community Music Series concert.
No prior experience in electronic music performance is required. The ability to read simple music notation is helpful but not necessary.

Participation in Dr. Joo Won Park’s Laptop Ensemble is open to the public. However, slots are limited. The only hardware requirements are a laptop (PC or Mac) and a charger. The workshop will take place on May 14, leading up to the concert performance.
