HIGH POINT, North Carolina — The 2025 Bethany Medical North Carolina Rowing Championships will feature headline races for the Lenny Peters Cup between Team USA and a dream team of Paris Olympic medalists when the annual event takes place at Oak Hollow Lake on April 12.

Race director Gene Kininmonth says the annual rowing regatta continues to grow and attract world wide interest.

"We expect over 1,000 rowers and several thousand spectators at this year's rowing championships. The addition of Paris Olympians racing Team USA has drawn increased interest," said Kininmonth.

With key corporate support coming from Bethany Medical and the Lenny Peters Foundation, the sport of rowing has taken off in High Point. “Festival Park is one of a kind for hosting water sports events,” says Kininmonth. “We also have the best volunteer support team in the country.”

In addition to the rowing, there will be food trucks and a beer garden called the Duck Bar with $2 beers for locals. There will also be a free Best in Show Dog competition. Bring your friendly dog on a leash."

For a more upscale experience spectators can enjoy watching the races from the Lenny Peters Regatta Lounge for $75, which opens at 8am. The lounge fee includes morning coffee, pastries, hot lunch, champagne or a signature cocktail and the best view of the racing. Tickets are available on Triad United Rowing’s website. Early bird discounts are currently available.
