Born in the post auto industrial Midwest, Benjamin Watson grew up learning to harmonize from the back of a wooden pew. Benjamin learned to play guitar sitting in circles with uncles who were self taught blues rock jam band style instrumentalists. He later went to university where he would hone his craft. Identifying primarily as a Singer-songwriter, Benjamin Watson draws from a unique blend of genres from indie folk and country with vocal stylings reminiscent of bands and artists such as The Lumineers, Noah Gundersen, and Jason Isbell.
