On Sunday, March 16, a local Southern Pines handmade artist will have the chance to sell their products at Michaels!    

Jan Chapek of From Stitch 2 Stitch, has a passion for custom cross-stitch, turning photos into intricate stitched artwork. Each 8x10 piece averages 13,000 stitches and comes stretched onto poster board with a mat, leaving glass and framing to the buyer for easier shipping. Jan also offers a selection of finished cross-stitch pieces for sale. Whether purchasing a completed piece or commissioning a personalized design, Jan is eager to share her talent and create something special. That’s why she sells on MakerPlace by Michaels—the online handmade marketplace dedicated to supporting U.S.-based makers and artisans. 

This weekend, she will have the chance to debut her products in stores as a part of the creative retailer’s in-store MakerPlace pop-up program, which allows Michaels shoppers to engage with local handmade artists and shop their items in person.
