Known as “Lady Louie,” “Queen Clarinet”, and “Miss Satchmo,” New Orleans clarinetist and vocalist Doreen Ketchens shares the stage with Loudoun Symphonic Winds, performing traditional and hot jazz classics. Come hear her hit and sustain high notes, like the great trumpeter Louis Armstrong. Effortlessly powering out gravelly notes and then switching to hit the highest notes possible, you'll have to hear it to believe it! Ms. Ketchens has performed for four U.S. presidents, and her commitment and passion for the music marks her as a cultural ambassador of New Orleans traditional music.
Tickets are $15, 18 and under free!
