The Music School of Delaware is delighted to welcome newfriends to its stage, including Chandra Pitts, President & CEO of OneVillage Alliance and young men from the organization’s Raising Kingsprogram; singer Candace Culcleasure and her band in a set of Motown favorites;the Music School’s MELODY Bucket Band; and our own Augustine Mercante,countertenor, who will share gospel and spiritual music. We welcome backthe modern dance company Pieces of a Dream, and, of course, we present theesteemed Jacqueline Beach Faulcon, Music School soprano and pianist, performingfavorite tunes a month after celebrating her 90th birthday. The proceeds of this concert benefit the scholarship foundation Ms. Faulconestablished in 2001 to support the music education of students ofAfrican-American, Hispanic, West Indian, Haitian, or Islands backgrounds.
