Each Memorial Day, the Town and American Legion Post 86 invite everyone to honor our nation’s servicemen and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We are honored to have Susan McClamrock, a Gold Star Mother, as our keynote speaker.

Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony, thanks to the Exchange Club of North Mecklenburg.

Keynote Speaker: Susan McClamrock

We are honored to have Gold Star Mother Susan McClamrock as our keynote speaker this year. She is the Gold Star Mother of PFC JAmes Fleet McClamrock, US Army, who was killed in action on September 7, 2010.

To this day, she continues to speak to keep her son's legacy alive; "When we stop speaking their names, they truly die."
