Back To the Basics: The 5 W's

Hosted by Not Defined By FND, a nonprofit public charity, who is on a mission to raise awareness, advocate for research, treatments, and resources, and initiate conversations that inspire necessary changes in communities worldwide for the FND (functional neurological disorder) community.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our highly anticipated annual event, dedicated to raising awareness and funds for our cause. Join us for an exciting day filled with exciting activities, including an obstacle course with a twist, a silent auction, games, food and drinks, and much more!

April is FND Awareness Month, with April 13 (to be confirmed) marking International FND Awareness Day! To celebrate, we're hosting our exciting event on Saturday, April 12, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST.

The event will take place at Waterline Brewing Co. For those who can’t be there in person, we’ll be streaming it live on our YouTube Channel, so no one has to miss out on the fun!

Obstacle Course

Ready for a challenge? Our Walk a Mile in Their Shoes obstacle course invites you to step into the world of FND and experience the daily struggles FND warriors face in a fun, interactive way!

As you navigate the course, you’ll face activities designed to mimic symptoms like weakness, imbalance, visual disturbances, and more. For example, you’ll try to walk a straight line while wearing vision-distorting glasses, or attempt balancing tasks with weighted legs to simulate weakness. You'll even navigate through a "doctor's appointment" scenario where you must answer questions while managing your symptoms.

This interactive and fun course is designed to raise awareness and deepen understanding of the condition, all while having a blast with friends and family! It’s a unique and engaging way to walk in the shoes of an FND warrior.

Silent Auction

Our Silent Auction is one of the most exciting parts of our Annual FND Awareness Event, featuring a variety of unique items and experiences you won't find anywhere else! Highlighting the incredible creativity of FND warriors and supporters, you’ll find one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, along with exclusive gift baskets, gift cards, and more—something for everyone!

Auction Participation Details

​Tickets are required to participate in the auction.
Preview the available items before the auction begins.
Bidding will not start until the official auction time.
New items will be added regularly, so check back often!
Provide accurate and up-to-date contact information during registration to ensure prompt delivery if you win.
All bidding will be done online.
If you win an item and are not present, we will ship it directly to you at no extra cost.
