A 74-year-old man carrying a haunting secret forms a friendship with a lonely teenager in a poignant tale of healing across generations. Herbert Heller, now a toy store owner in Marin County, California, survived the Holocaust as a child, escaping from Auschwitz-Birkenau at just 15 years old. When diagnosed with a terminal illness, he connects with Abbey, a teenager grappling with her own struggles, and together they share their stories, forging a bond that leads them both toward healing.
