In recognition of the 115th Anniversary of Scouting, Scouting America’s National Day of Service, February 8, 2025, is to provide program experiences to help Youth Members learn qualities of good citizenship and gain a sense of belonging to, and being needed in, their communities.  Also, build service collaborations with community organizations across every community in the Circle Ten Council territory.

Allen Cemetery (Allen, TX) – Updating records of current conditions of the monuments at the Allen Cemetery

City Forester (Allen, TX) – GIS work on tree inventory, plot and take measurements

Lovejoy ISD (Lucas, TX) - pending

 The Eagle Trail District of Scouting America provides Scouting to the Allen ISD and Lovejoy ISD service areas.  With almost 800 Youth Members, Eagle Trail District serves boys and girls of all ages in Cub Scouts (Grades K-5); Scouts, BSA (Ages 11 to 17); and older Scouts (Ages 14-20) in Venturing, Sea Scouts, and Exploring.  The Boy Scouts of America announced it will rebrand to Scouting America, reflecting the organization’s ongoing commitment to welcome every youth and family in America to experience the benefits of Scouting. The change will go into effect on February 8, 2025, the organization’s 115th anniversary.

 Eagle Trail District's Call

In the heart of winter’s chill, under the Texas sky so wide, Eagle Trail District gathered, Scouts standing side by side. With Scouting America’s National Day of Service, spirits high and hearts so true, the Scouts embarked on a noble quest, with a mission clear to view.

Oh, Eagle Trail, lead us on, in the spirit of the Scout, with honor and with kindness, let us spread goodwill about. From sunrise to the setting sun, let our banners be unfurled, for the Eagle Trail District’s here, to make a better world.

Through neighborhoods of Allen, Lucas, and Fairview, they marched with bags in hand, collecting food for those in need, a caring, steadfast assembly of Pack and Troop. With every can and box they took, a tale of hope they spun, uniting hearts in our towns, their journey just begun.

In every smile and thank you, they found a deeper cheer, for the gift of giving freely, casts aside the winter’s fear. From pantry shelves to empty bowls, their kindness bridged the gap, building a brighter future, as they followed the Scouting Oath and Law.
