Seniors at The Fitzgerald of Palisades Welcome Students for Veterans Day Tribute
WHAT: On Tuesday, November 11, The Fitzgerald of Palisades will host a Veterans Day ceremony honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans. Students and faculty from Aidan Montessori School will join Former U.S. Navy Commander Gerald Astorino, along with fellow Fitzgerald community members and local dignitaries, in a meaningful intergenerational tribute. The program will include the Pledge of Allegiance, recognition of veterans in attendance, and students delivering handmade cards and notes to the veterans.
This ceremony emphasizes reflection, remembrance, and gratitude. The involvement of Montessori students highlights Fitzgerald’s commitment to connecting members with the next generation and fostering respect for those who have served. Founded in 1961, the Aidan Montessori School is the oldest Montessori school in Washington, DC, providing a safe and welcoming space where children can learn and be encouraged to follow their curiosity and nurture their creativity.
Media attending will have the opportunity to cover a heartfelt program featuring community leaders, members and students. Representatives from The Fitzgerald of Palisades will be available for interviews to share their perspective on Veterans Day and the importance of service.
