Save the date for our third annual SOMOS NJ Poetry & Culture Festival! SOMOS 2025 will be held on the Rutgers–Newark campus. Registration for SOMOS 2025 will open in November. This event is free and open to the public.

The SOMOS NJ Poetry & Culture Festival is a day-long celebration of Spanish, Portuguese, and Latinx poetry and culture. The 2025 Festival will again feature readings by New Jersey poets, presentations by humanities scholars and practitioners, and opportunities for high-school attendees to recite poetry and share original work.

This event is made possible with funding from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities and the Latino Poetry initiative.
