Tunes & Tales from Tavern & Hearthside: Songs & Stories of Early New England Time travel back 200 years to early 19th century New England!

Using historical song & stories, Walter Buckingham weaves a time with a very different material culture; a time before the railroad had replaced the stage coach for land travel, and steam engines were nearly about to begin to replace sailboats. Mr. Buckingham will also offer a "show & tell"of his collection of some rare and unusual antique musical instruments and their history. Through songs, stories, and artifacts, history comes to life to educate, entertain, and amuse us, while deepening and enriching our perspective of this place, time, and ourselves.
