Join us for a week-long celebration from June 27th to July 4th as Big Stone Gap decks out in red, white, and blue to honor our nation’s independence! Enjoy live music, delicious food from SW Virginia vendors, games, inflatables, races, contests, and more-culminating in our spectacular 4th of July Parade and a massive outdoor concert at Bullitt Park, ending with one of the region’s most dazzling fireworks displays!

Gap Partnership Pancake and Mimosa Breakfast at the Visitor Center - 8 AM–11 AM
Start Independence Day with a delicious breakfast!

4th of July Freedom 5K at the Visitor Center - 9 AM
Day-of registration begins at 8 AM. Get your run in before the festivities!

4th of July Parade through Wood Ave - 4 PM
Celebrate with the community in our patriotic parade!

Independence Day Celebration at Bullitt Park - 4 PM–11 PM
$5 entry fee; kids 12 and under free. Enjoy food trucks, inflatables, a cornhole tournament, wine/beer garden, and live music starting at 4 PM with Scratch River, followed by Kennedy Faith, leading up to Those Guys! Hosted by DJ Jahmal Potter. The night concludes with one of the best fireworks displays in SW Virginia at dusk!
