MoCo Arts School of Dance students bring to life the timeless holiday classic, The Nutcracker. On Christmas Eve, young Clara Silberhaus receives a mysterious gift from her godfather, Drosselmeyer, a wooden nutcracker doll. As the night unfolds, magic fills the air. The Nutcracker grows to life-size, leading an epic battle against the Mouse King and his army. With Clara’s bravery, the Nutcracker transforms into a Prince and escorts her to the enchanting Land of Sweets. There, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her court dazzle with a joyous celebration before Clara awakens, left to wonder if it was all a dream.

MoCo’s dancers tell this cherished story through a wide range of styles—including ballet, pointe, modern, hip hop, tap, and jazz—infusing new energy into a beloved tradition that continues to captivate audiences every other holiday season.
