Award winning vocalist, Sharon Sable, is recognized as one of the region’s most beloved interpreters of song with frequent appearances throughout the east coast including her current hometown of Wilmington, DE. She has performed concerts to sold out audiences at Chris' Jazz Cafe, Uptown Performing Arts Center, The Smyrna Opera House, Mainstay Music Hall, in addition to regular performances for The Rittenhouse Hotel, Delaware Friends of Folk, and the South Jersey Jazz Society and more. She has been a featured performer at The Clifford Brown, Sun Valley (ID) and True Blue Jazz Festivals. Her first album, “Love Evermore”, with guitarist E. Shawn Qaissaunee, was released in 2019 and includes arrangements of songs by Dizzy Gillespie, (Mr.) Fred Rogers and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Her most recent album, “Once Upon a Summertime” (with pianist Joe Holt) is a tribute to jazz icon, Blossom Dearie. It was released in ’23 and is receiving critical acclaim.  

The Show :
For this concert, Sharon and her band, featuring: E. Shawn Qaissaunee (guitar), Jason Fraticelli (bass), & Jon Thompson (sax, flute & clarinet) will be performing a specially curated concert that will take you on a journey from the gypsy jazz & love songs of French composers to the latin rhythms of Brazil’s beloved bossa novas & sambas. Expect to hear music from artists such as Edith Piaf, Michel LeGrand, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Astrud Gilberto, Flora Purim, & more!
