The Atascadero Veterans Memorial Foundation will host the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Faces of Freedom Memorial

Festivities begin at 11 am with the popular flyover by Estrella Warbirds, Cal Poly ROTC will present the colors, accompanied by the Central Coast Pipes and Drums, and the Welcome Home Military Heroes Flag Line.

The guest speaker will be Pilot Melissa Hughes, who will represent the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). A wreath will be laid in memory of Dan Phillips, "Barber Dan". Veteran organizations will be there with information, and there will be limited seating for the ceremony.

The Atascadero Kiwanis Club will host a BBQ after the ceremony.

The Faces of Freedom Memorial is located at the corner of HWY 41/Morro Road and Portola.
