Join Champlain Area Trails on Saturday, for our second Saturday volunteer project on the Wildway Overlook Trail in Essex, New York. This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community while helping to develop the scenic trails in our area!
This next session on our new connector trail will focus on connecting lower Brookfield Road to the Boquet Mountain Trail systems, opening up a scenic old road. Activities will include trail building, lopping, clearing brush, and handsawing, with tasks varying based on weather conditions. Expect to walk approximately 2 miles during the event.
Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, protective eyewear (if using a string trimmer), water, and snacks. While Champlain Area Trails will provide tools such as loppers, hand saws, and string trimmers, feel free to bring any additional tools you may have.
Directions: The trailhead is located on Brookfield Rd, just ¼ mile south of Reynolds Rd in Essex, NY
Registration: Please register by 6:00 PM the day before the event by emailing [email protected]. If you cannot register in advance, feel free to join us on Saturday at 9:00 AM.
Get involved in enhancing our beautiful trails, meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts, and enjoy a day of nature and community spirit!
