Founded in 2005, the Villa Musica Flute Ensemble is comprised of amateur, retired and professional flutists in the San Diego community. Directed by Valerie McElroy, the ensemble performs repertoire in a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, contemporary, blues and Broadway, and was selected to perform at the National Flute Association's Flute Ensemble Festival 2023 in Phoenix, AZ. As one of Villa Musica's three Community Ensembles, the VMFE performs three concerts each year and is a fixture in the flute community.
