Ahead of Memorial Day, honor those who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Join us for a community walk inside Easton Cemetery with live music, and casual docent tours.

Cemetery visitors will be treated to a concert by 14 members of Easton's Municipal Band at the overlook, just below the monument of Thomas Coates (b. 1803 - d. 1895).

In the era before records and radio live band music was an important part of American life, Coates was one of its masters. Nationally known, he is considered by many to be the “Father of Band Music in America."

PLUS, we are happy to be a "Flower Fabrication Station" for PETALS IN THE PARK: a big blooming community art project. Members of the public are invited to help create a gigantic, whimsical paper garden of colossal proportions. All materials will be provided.

Weekend Wanderers are a great way for folks to explore the Easton Cemetery and get some fresh air. Although led by Easton Cemetery volunteers, these walks, unless specified, are not formal tours. Grab a pair of comfortable shoes, a water bottle and plan for an hour walk. No registration required, just show up! Everyone, all ages, and leashed dogs are welcome.

Show your support of the Easton Cemetery by having a delicious brunch at Porters' Pub following the wander. A percentage of your meal will go be given to the cemetery. Let the staff know you attended the Easton Cemetery Weekend Wanderers walk.

Note: Event may be canceled day-of due to severe weather.
