The Richard M. Brodsky Foundation and a team of board members and friends leaves for Kenya on December 3 and returns to America on December 15. While in Kenya we sponsor a meet and greet dinner with live musical performances, 4 orphan dinner dances where we feed between 800 - 1,000 Kenyan orphans and Dr. Richard Sartori of Garden City Pediatrics and Kenyan doctors and nurses examine and treat hundreds of Kenyan orphans and provide lifesaving medical care, two days of activities for special needs kids (art lessons + music & dancing), and a free 5K AIDS fun run walk. We are encouraging Rockaway, NY to be sister cities with Dunga, Kisumu, Kenya. Enjoy the 7 minute video!

For those of you visiting NYC, Long Island, or New Jersey or families hosting out of town guests for  Thanksgiving, this ocean view marathon is the only marathon (Boston Marathon qualifier) in North America on World AIDS Day. It might be cold but wouldn’t all of the 42,000,000 people who have died from AIDS switch places with anyone facing oceanfront winds. We also have a half marathon, 10K and 5K and are working on getting bands to perform at the bandshell at 95th Street which, all runners pass at least twice and marathoners pass 8 times. Best way to commute from Manhattan is the A train where you get to cruise across Jamaica Bay from elevated train tracks and enjoy the water view.
