The 10th Annual Pan-African Cultural Festival on Saturday, May 3, is a free community celebration to promote unity and culture in the African World Community. Come enjoy engaging conversation, and meet brothers and sisters from the Caribbean, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana and Mexico.

The day will feature African drumming and dancing, an African fashion show, Capoeira demonstration, poetry, storytelling, children activities, a Pan African panel discussion and more.

Come experience this cultural celebration of Black Pride & Unity

A moderated community conversation with local community members of the Diaspora in the meeting room of the Carver Branch Library @ 10:30am; Harambe! Let the outdoor festivities begin: There will be music, local small business owners selling food and drink, African clothing and accessories, a great selection of African/American books for adults, youth and children, hair and skin care products, and more!

Come out and bring your whole family to enjoy empowering and uplifting cultural entertainment, local talent and fellowship!

Come dressed in your best African inspired clothing and accessories and let's discuss how we can strengthen and unify the Diaspora.

This event is free to the general public.

6:30 PM - 8:30 PM: "A Taste of Africa" An Evening of Food, Fashion, Music, and Culture

Kick-off the weekend with "A Taste of Africa" a vibrant dinner, African fashion, music(DJ) and keynote speaker addressing themes of Pan African unity and the role of the African diaspora in global progress. This event is hosted by DreamWeek and the Pan African Cultural Community (Please dress in your best and most beautiful African attire)

10:30 AM - 5:00 PM: Pan African Festival

A vibrant festival showcasing African-American and African diaspora cultures through performances, African market, food, music, art, and more. Engage with cultural artisans and hear thought-provoking panel discussions on the future of unity within the African world.

May 4, 2025

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Pan African Film Showing

The weekend concludes with a film screening of "MOSIAH" a film that reflects on the life and the trial of Marcus Garvey, the great Pan-Africanist leader. A post-screening discussion will allow participants to reflect and engage with the film's themes. This is a Pan-African Festival Weekend event hosted by the San Antonio Black International Film Festival(SABIFF)
