The 19th annual Arvada Kite Festival at Stenger Sports Complex (11200 W. 58th Ave.). The free, family-friendly event is the perfect way to celebrate the start of spring!

The Kite Festival includes the following activities:

- Kite flying! Bring a kite or purchase one at the event

- Kids Zone with free inflatables and face painting

- Kite demonstrations by professional kite flyers

- More than 70 vendors and tons of food trucks

- Denver Museum of Nature and Science’s Curiosity Cruiser

Free parking is available on site first come, first served with gates opening at 9:45 a.m. However, biking, walking and ride sharing to the event is encouraged. A free bike valet will be available courtesy of Bike Friendly Arvada.

“The Kite Festival is our most popular event, and it continues to grow each year. It’s such a fun tradition within our community,” said Adelle Burton, the City’s Special Events and Public Arts Manager. “Be sure to head to the east fields at Stenger to check out kite flying demonstrations by the Rocky Mountain Kite Association.”

The Arvada Kite Festival is hosted by the Arvada Festivals Commission, which is continuing its effort in 2024 to make all of its events zero-waste.
