You’re invited to join the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) for the third annual Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster Showcase on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 4 - 6 p.m. The showcase will include 20 short performances by artists from the Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster, a list of juried, Maryland-based artists who have a demonstrated history of successful, professional touring engagements. The showcase will take place virtually on Google Meet and will be free and open to the public.

The goal of the showcase is to promote artistic collaboration between Maryland-based touring artists and presenting organizations, with the goal of increasing touring engagements for professional performing artists.

The showcase is a great opportunity for:

• Providing ideas to any nonprofit presenting organizations and venues looking to discover and hire performers in the coming year
• Finding out who is on MSAC’s Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster (there are over 150 incredible performers currently included!)
• Finding out more about the Presenting and Touring program 

MSAC also supports collaboration between artists and presenting organizations through the Touring Grant, which is open to any organization interested in hiring touring artists. Touring Grants provide support for the presentation expenses and booking fees of touring artists. This collaborative program is designed to support Maryland’s network of touring artists and presenters in bringing arts experiences to communities across the state.
