From: Spokane Fall Folk FestivalWe are thrilled to announce our 30th annual Fall Folk Festival. Currently in the planning stages, the Festival will take place on November 8th and 9th at Spokane Community College, Building 6 (The Lair), 1820 N. Greene Street. We are seeking performers, volunteers, crafters, and artists to participate.
The Spokane Folklore Society, a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to preserving folk music and culture, sponsors the Festival. Our goal is to promote awareness, appreciation, development, and continuation of the varied cultural and ethnic traditions in the Inland Northwest by providing a showcase for sharing these traditions in a community spirit.
The Festival weekend will feature traditional music, dance, crafts, workshops, storytelling, jam sessions, and children’s entertainment and activities. Meals and snacks will also be on sale. The Festival attracts about 6,000 attendees who enjoy performances from over 350 performers representing 100 groups.
If you are interested in applying, please read the enclosed Performer Policy for selection criteria and product sales information. The Festival is free to the public, so we regret that we cannot pay performers. However, we offer performers access to a hospitality room, publicity, and listings in our online Performers Referral Directory. With this understanding, we invite you to apply to the 2025 Fall Folk Festival.
To apply, please complete the Performer Application and submit your application by July 1, 2025. We select performers based on presenting a comprehensive range and balance of folk, ethnic, and traditional performances. While we may only be able to accommodate some applicants, we will consider late applications if space is still available, or we may keep them on hold in case of cancellations. Please use a separate application form for each performance or workshop you request.
If you are interested in the Craft Vendor’s Application and information, please contact Nora Scott at (509) 990-9238 or [email protected].
We strongly encourage you to submit at least two (2) audition samples on CD, video, or online link, which we will consider during selection. Living room productions are acceptable. Please indicate which songs or tracks you would like us to review. You should also include promotional materials with your completed application. We may use this material for publicity in the newspaper and on the Festival poster and program. Please note that we will not return media and promotional materials but will keep them on file.
You should receive a preliminary performance confirmation by mid-August. We will mail you a final confirmation with specific stage and time details by mid-October. If you have questions regarding the booking process, please call (509) 828-3683 or email [email protected].
We may create a promotional Festival Sampler CD to promote the event on local radio stations. However, we will not sell or distribute the CD to anyone else.
You can find more information about the Spokane Folklore Society, the Fall Folk Festival, and the current listings in our Performers Referral Directory on our websites.
We appreciate your interest and hope to see you at our 30th annual Fall Folk Festival.
