The Hueco Rock Rodeo is back!  After several years of hiatus, the premiere outdoor bouldering competition in the United States is on for February and these classic problems are calling your name. We are re-imagining this festival to celebrate not only the spirit of competition that beats at the heart of elite climbing, but also the meaningful impact climbers can have on our climbing landscapes and the communities we share them with.

The Rodeo will have you rubbing shoulders with bouldering heroes like competitors Nina Williams and Paul Robinson as you compete on some of the greatest blocs in the country, and engaging with community conversations about some of the most important topics in modern climbing. Gather at the AAC’s Hueco Rock Ranch for a weekend of climbing, awards, food, music, and community. You won’t want to miss your chance to flex your bouldering skills alongside the best in the world!

February 16, 2024

7:30am-9:30am - Coffee
Coffee will be provided in the Barn to get you psyched and caffeinated. This and all food provided is part of a no waste initiative. Please plan on using your own mug.

8:00am-9:30am - Morning Registration
Registration will be open on the front porch of the Hueco Rock Ranch.

4:30pm-8:30pm - Evening Registration
If you can’t make it to the Ranch in the morning, you can stop by the front porch to register in the evening.

5:00pm-8:00pm - Vendor Village & Artist Market
The evening will feature games, free swag, art projects, raffles, silent auction, vendor village, and a market of local artists.

5:00pm-8:00pm - Food Truck Circus
Although Friday dinner is not included in your Weekend Pass, we will have a local food truck with tasty food for purchase.

7:30pm - Competition Orientation
This orientation is for all competitors, meet in the Barn to go over comp rules.

9:00pm - Karaoke Competition
Warm up your vocals and sing your heart out for your chance at a fantastic prize! Karaoke hosted by the Prince of Hueco.

Coffee and breakfast are the best way to start the day. This and all meals are part of a no waste initiative. Please plan to bring your own plate and utensils.

8:00am - 9:30am - Registration
Registration will be open on the front porch of the Hueco Rock Ranch.

9:00am - 10:30am - Shuttles to the Park
If you’re competing-don’t miss the bus! Please meet in the Vendor Village and look for signs designating the meeting area for your comp category.

10:00am-5:00pm - The World Famous Hueco Rock Rodeo Bouldering Competition

4:00-5:30pm - Shuttles return to the Ranch

5:00pm-8:00pm - Food Truck Circus
Hope you’re hungry because some of El Paso’s finest food trucks will be here for you!

5:30pm - Village Vendor and Artist Market
The evening will feature games, free swag, art projects, raffles, silent auction, vendor village, artist market, live DJ, the famous bonfire, dancing, and more!

7:00pm - Bonfire begins

8:00pm - Awards
Boulder hard, win prizes. Simple as that. Prizes will be awesome. Come cheer on the winners!

9:00am-10:00am - Yoga on the Court
Flexibility is key for climbing and recovery. Join us for a yoga session at the Ranch. BYOYM (bring your own yoga mat)

10:00am - Campground Cleanup
The Climbers of Hueco Tanks Coalition will be hosting a quick clean up. Please join us so we can all get out and go climbing.
