Plein Air artists juried into the Carmel Art Festival will be painting all around the Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur. You can identify them by their festival caps. And, of course, by them creating their fabulous plein air paintings. They love to talk to you and have their photos taken with you. And if you put the photos up on your social media to share with your friends, we all love that.

Venue: Devendorf Park

10AM - 2PM - Artists check in their 2 competition paintings.You may recognize the ones you saw being painted during the past 2 days!

11AM - 2PM - Live music

3PM - 4PM - Judging including Peoples' Choice Award. You, the public, will have a chance to vote for your favorite painting.

4PM - Buy Now starts. Here is where you, the public, can buy that piece of art you have actually seen being created! Or any other, of course.

5:30PM - Awards Presentation. Come meet the artists

6PM - 9PM - VIP Gala Party with some of the best local wines and food plus live entertainment by fan favorite Carlos Reyes. If you have purchased a painting today, you will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the Gala. If you haven't decided yet what to buy, tickets are available at $75/person.

Quick Draw and Auction of art painted in 2 hours with all juried artists participating.

Venue: Mission Street between Ocean Ave and 6th which will be closed to traffic for this event.

9AM - 11AM: Artists will be all around Carmel-by-the-Sea but primarily within walking distance in the commercial area. This is where you, the public, can watch them once again paint a scene up and personal in ONLY 2 HOURS.

11AM - 2:30PM: Viewing & bidding on paintings

12Noon: Winners will be announced

2:30PM - Close of Auction. Note: if there are 10 bids, then the painting goes to live auction. Do you have to be there? No, but we need your telephone number to get in touch with you if you have won the bid. Register, and you can also call us to up your bid during the day!

While the Quick Draw is happeing on adjoining Mission Street, there will be live music and children's and other events of interest in adjoining Devendorf Park. Check back often here, because as paintings sell under the tents, artists will replace them with others.

12Noon - 3PM: Live Music

3PM - Festival Closes.
