Eliot Festival Day is a community event featuring the Eliot Festival Day 5K Road Race in the morning and the Donut and Pie Eatin’ Contests in the afternoon. Along with crafts, food, products, and informational booths we have a Farmer’s Market for area agriculture, a Colonial Re-enactment camp, a PARADE for one and all, Chalmers Kids’ Fun Run, live music, Dancing DJ Carmen and more!

Eliot Festival 5K Road Race
The Eliot Festival 5K Road Race starts promptly at 8:30 am EDT Saturday, September 30, 2023, kicking off the 42nd Eliot Festival Days celebration in the center of Eliot, Maine.

Proceeds from the Race will support two worthy causes: Table of Plenty, serving Eliot, Kittery, and So. Berwick, whose mission is to create a welcoming opportunity for food and fellowship for our friends, family and neighbors in need, and the Town of Eliot Fuel Assistance Fund, which provides emergency help for urgent situations facing our neighbors.

Eliot Festival 5K is fast and competitive (USATF cert. ME22001JK). The course is well-marked, with police escort along the Town’s scenic and rural by-ways. It’s a great way to kick off the Fall running season!

Walkers and strollers are welcome. No dogs, please. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in men and women categories. Prizes awarded for winners in all age groups.

After the race, stay for awards, great refreshments, and an amazing raffle! And the Eliot Festival Days events await you - parade, Kid's Fun Run, booths, crafts, music, and more food!

Register on-line by September 29, 2023 for $40 (runners aged 18 and older) and $30 (runners 17 and under.) We pay the bank charges. Limited day-of registration available up to 8:00 am. Notice for Teams - Runners are encouraged to register as members of a specific team. The Team Captain should register first and create the team name before members register.

Parade:
Want to join the parade? We welcome individuals, hobby groups, businesses, marching groups and community organizations.
10:15 am Parade kicks off from Eliot Boat Basin to arrive at Eliot Elementary School reviewing stand at 11:00 am So don’t leave it too late to grab a great seat for our Annual Parade.

Parade Line-Up Schedule:
Vehicles arrive 9 – 9:30 am
Participants arrive 9 – 9:45 am
Line-up to establish order for the grandstand 10 – 10:15am
Step off onto RT 103 10:30am!!
If your parade entry includes a vehicle there will be a strictly enforced 10 MPH on State Road during the festival.

Booths & Kids’ Area 9:00AM–3:00PM
Our Kids’ fun covers everything from Chalmer’s Kids Fun Run to bouncy houses, face painting, and balloon creations along with fun crafts. Adults must accompany children the entire time they are in these areas.
