What more can you ask for to celebrate South African heritage than two of our most favorite pastime events, Braai & Potjie….. A family-friendly event of course!

?That event has arrived. Our 4th annual South African Braai & Potjie Fest will be in the state of Virginia in 2025.

?Just think about socializing with fellow Saffas, making new friends, the fun you will have and while at it do some networking. There will be amazing South African food, goodies and music just to mention a few things.

?We can’t wait to see you at the SABP Fest!

Schedule of Events:

April 25, 2025

All day - Arrive, camp setup and settling in, meet and greet.

Vendor setup at the Fest Market.

12:00pm – 1:00pm - Lunch (Everyone for themselves).

6:00pm – 8:00pm - Complimentary Braai - Lamb, Chicken and Boerewors (Please bring a side to share).

8:30pm – 11:00pm - LIVE Entertainment - Kurt Darren - Friends of John - Music and Sokkiejol.

April 26, 2025

10:00am – 12:00pm - Boeresport for young and old (Sack race, egg race etc.).

?12:00pm – 1:00pm - Lunch (Everyone for themselves).

12:00pm – 5:00pm - Potjies start and finish time (All Potjies made in the communal area are considered for prizes and will be shared with all attendees).

?5:00pm – 6:00pm - Potjie judging.

6:00pm – 8:00pm - Complimentary Potjie - All Potjies made will be shared with all attendees; there will also be a communal Potjie (Please bring a side to share).

8:30pm – 11:00pm - Awards for Potjie winners, Character of the fest, Longest distance traveler.

LIVE Entertainment - Friends of John - Die Campbells - Music and Sokkiejol.
