A celebration of Hawaii's best arts and crafts showcasing statewide small businesses and their talents in handmade products. Also featuring Hawaii’s fusion of multi-cultural food offerings with food trucks and pop up food vendors.

Walking parade from Kailua Pier to Hale Halawai featuring colorful lanterns and authentic cultural costumes honoring Hawai’i’s rich history and multicultural diversity.

Location: Historic Holualoa Village

Celebrate the 25th annual Holualoa Village Coffee & Art Stroll. Take a casual stroll along Holualoa Village, talk with farmers about their passions and visit the shops and galleries, each featuring coffee themed art and merchandise. There will be food vendors stationed throughout the Village as well. The popular Chef's Choice awards and People's Choice awards returns! Designated parking areas will be clearly marked, and carpooling is suggested.

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm : Exhibition Program: Mo'olelo with Kumu Keala Ching

Location: Donkey Mill Art Center - 78-6670 Mamalahoa Hwy., Holualoa

Join us for a captivating evening of storytelling and music with Kumu Keala Ching who will be sharing stories and song about Kona and her incomparable land, sea and people. Kumu Keala Ching is a Hawaiian cultural educator, composer, song writer, and spiritual advisor to many Hawaiian organizations. He lives and breathes aloha into his Hawaiian heritage with his strong presence and great heart. Under the tutelage of Loea Frank Kawaikapuokalani Hewett, Kumu Keala spent many years learning and building his knowledge. He is fluent in the Hawaiian language, which he uses as the foundation for teaching all of his students. Kumu Keala lives in Kailua-Kona, where he is Kumu Hula for Ka Pa Hula Na Wai Iwi Ola (the ancient waters of life) and co-founder and executive director of Na Wai Iwi Ola (NWIO) Foundation. 6:00 pm : Ucc Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Competition

Location: Courtyard by Marriott – King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel - 75-5660 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona

Cost : Tickets are $50 starting October 1st, 2024. A $5 festival button is also required. Event parking will be $10.

The Miss Kona Coffee Organization is an official local organization of the Miss Hawaii and Miss America Organizations and our title sponsor is Ueshima Coffee Company (UCC) Hawai'i. During this year’s competition, we will crown our new Miss Kona Coffee, Miss Aloha Hawai'i, Miss Kona Coffee’s Teen & Miss Aloha Hawaii's Teen. Delegates ages 14-18 for Teen and 18-28 for Miss will compete in private interview, onstage conversation, health & fitness, evening gown and talent phases for scholarship opportunities and a chance to represent our organization in the state competition.

More than a pageant, Kona's premier youth competition features Hawai'i Island young ladies ages 5 through 12 competing for crowns, awards and scholarships. A foundation is formed by learning skills to help them in both their classrooms and future. From poise to public speaking, creative expressions, confidence and friendship building; for the pageant enthusiasts, will become Miss Kona Coffee.

Seasoned coffee educators, trainers and professionals both local and abroad, guide a robust coffee education experience in manual brewing techniques, espresso techniques, milk steaming, and latte art. Competition heats up later in the week at the Kona Coffee Latte Art Throwdown. Festival button required.

Filled with kaona and layered meanings, artworks become the vehicle through which mo'olelo manifest–artists thoughtfully revealing stories and histories they have witnessed, researched, and/or remembered. With many of the artists gathering mo'olelo from their own 'ohana, artworks reveal their family histories and genealogical connections anchoring them to the past, present and the future. This exhibition runs through December 14th, 2024. Festival button required and available for purchase on-site.

Location: Kona Historical Society - 82-6199 Mamalahoa Hwy., Captain Cook

Cost: $15 with festival button, $10 for Hawai'i residents with festival button, tickets available for purchase on-site. Last entry into the farm is at 1:15 p.m.

Stroll through this award-winning, historic farm that tells the story of Kona’s coffee pioneers during the early 20th century. A self-guided experience, you're free to walk among the coffee trees, meet a “Kona Nightingale”, or watch how farmers used the kuriba and hoshidana to mill and dry their world-famous coffee.

5K starts at 6:15 am

Come and join us for our ninth annual "shot" at the 100% Pure Kona Coffee Half Marathon! Run the scenic coast of Kailua-Kona down Ali'i Drive to the infamous "Pit" at the "End of the World". Enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean as you complete the half marathon or 5k distances and celebrate with a cup of coffee!

9:00 am – 3:00 pm : Kona Coffee Cultural Festival Ho'olaule'a

Location : Makaeo County Pavilion (Old Airport) 75-5500 Kuakini Hwy., Kailua-Kona

Celebrate Kona coffee and culture with a day filled with live multi-cultural entertainment, ethnic food court, amazing lei contest, educational/historical exhibits, demonstrations, and displays. The Ho'olaule'a signature artisans market features goods Made in Hawaii and Kona coffee farmers sampling and selling their coffee. A great way to experience the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival! Festival. Festival button required and available for purchase on-site. Sign up forms online for vendors for food, artisans, and coffee farmers. A separate sign up for educational/demonstrations and separate online or on-site registration for lei contest. Lei contest drop off from 9am – 10am, lei judging from 10:00am-10:30am with announcement of lei winners and silent auction of all lei from 11:00am – 12:30pm.

10:00 am - 2:00 pm : Cultural Activities at the Donkey Mill Art Center

Join us at the Donkey Mill Art Center and try some of the cultural practices renowned in our region, such as lei making, lauhala bracelet weaving, papermaking with local fibers and natural dyes with olena or turmeric as part of the annual Kona Coffee Cultural Festival (KCCF). Participants will be able to take home their finished projects as well as view the exhibition H?nau ka Mo'olelo, and enjoy a cup of Kona Coffee. Participants may register to participate in one or two activities by visiting our website: www.donkeymillartcenter.org . Festival button required and available for purchase on-site.

2:30 pm : Kona Coffee: Over 100 Years and Growing

Location : Aloha Theatre 79-7384 Hawaii Belt Rd., Kealakekua

There are thousands of stories in the coffee land. And some of them will be introduced through conversation and entertainment. Enjoy engaging story lines about the tales of Kona coffee farm life from a Picture Bride’s point of view as she invites her descendants and a variety of characters from many cultures to tell her story. Delight yourself with this long-awaited twist of Coffee Gamble: 60 Years, written 40 years ago; and learn how Kona coffee farming came to be and where it is now.

Featured artists: Kaleo Lindsey, Natie Adarme Whitlock and a few more surprises. Old Time Kona Stories Book Collection will be sold at the door, 1:30-2:30 pm. By: Kona Japanese Civic Association.

4:00 p.m to 5:30 p.m. : Kona Coffee Cultural Festival Cupping Competition Awards Ceremony

Location : UCC Hawai'i 75-5568 Mamalahoa Hwy., Holualoa

The Cupping Competition awards ceremony will take place at the UCC Hawai'i Farm from 4:00 p.m to 5:30 p.m. Competition winners will be announced and presented with awards. The festival will provide light pupus and refreshments and you will be able to sample the top award-winning coffees! Festival button required for entry.
