11:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m: Senior Citizen Luncheon at La Crescent Area Event Center
Give the "Apple of Your Eye" residing at SpringBrook Village, Traditions, or La Crescent Health Services a sweet start to Applefest. Treat them to the Senior Apple Luncheon on Wednesday. Sis and Sweetwater will entertain us and you can sing along to their familiar tunes. If you are a danceer-there will be room for that too!You can step back in time with an Applefest Display made possible by the La Crescent Area Historical Society. Watch a video of our first Apple Fest (when it was still two words) and view original props and memorabilia from that first event in 1949. Swing Bridge will cook up a delicious meal of mashed potatoes, meatballs, green beans, and a dinner roll, followed by a festive apple pie square for dessert from Linda’s Bakery compliments of Eitzen State Bank of La Crescent. You can also expect an orchard of door prizes from Thrivent Financial, Corky’s Pizza, Eitzen State Bank and La Crescent Area Historical Society. Tickets can be purchased at Eitzen State Bank (ESB) La Crescent and SpringBrook Village of La Crescent. Let them know who the "Apple of Your Eye" is if purchasing a ticket for two for $18.

7:30 p.m: Torchlight Parade
The Applefest Board of Directors are excited to start the weekend off with a Torchlight Parade! The Applefest Family and local businesses will light up the streets for a family friendly parade! Pull the glow in the dark clothes out of the closet, add some glow sticks and find your spot to sit.

Parade Route: Line up at Veterans Memorial parking lot, North Chestnut Street, travel through downtown La Crescent on Walnut Street, South Second Street, and end in Crucifixion parking lot.

6:30 a.m - 4:00 p.m: Chalkfest: High School/Middle School parking lot

10:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m: Lock 7 "Self-Guided" Tours
Gates/doors will be open to the public and employees will be available at the entrance and locations around the lock chamber, on the dam bridge and inside the main central control station as well as near major maintenance equipment. Brochures and water safety items will be given out. Auxiliary Coast Guard out of Winona, MN will be on site to represent their work on the Mississippi River.

9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m: Applefest Great River Makers Market at La Crescent Area Event Center
