Whether you’re looking to treat yourself or join the fun behind the booth, come meet us and be part of the celebration!
Please note: The Museum will close at 4 PM on Friday, May 2, and remain closed all day on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, while we participate in the festival.

Shrimp Festival 60th anniversary: Celebrating the Legacy

2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the Amelia Island Shrimp Festival. What began as a gathering of local shrimpers to celebrate their passion and industry has grown into a beloved community event celebrating shrimp—and so much more.
Join Kristin Huben, Riverfront and Heritage Director of the Shrimp Festival, as she explores the working history of this local legacy event!

- Cost: Free, and attendees may bring their lunch!

Pub Crawl
Join us on Wednesday, May 7th or Wednesday, May 21th, for an evening of history, stories, and specialty drinks during our beloved Pub Crawl!
Discover the charm of downtown Fernandina as we explore some of the most popular, notorious, or otherwise historic pubs and bars. This 2.5-hour guided tour takes you through about eight blocks of the historic district, stopping at three to four pubs to savor a specialty drink and hear colorful tales of Fernandina's past. It’s history with a kick!

- Time: 5 PM
- Cost: $45 per person
- Group Size: 4 to 8 people (minimum of 4 required)
- Age Requirement: Must be 21 or older (ID required)

Ghost Tour Every Friday
Tiptoe through dark streets and step into history as your guide brings the past to life. This one-hour, 14-block tour is perfect for brave souls with good walking shoes!

- Cost: $15 Adults / $10 Children (6-17)
