It's time to get ready for MASH!
Registration is now open for the Museum's Summer Camp!
This year, come and explore the "Golden Age Firsts and Fernandina"!
This camp will focus on the Golden Age of Fernandina and the music, math, art, science and history around the world at that time.
Registration is open until June 5th, and camp is from June 12th to 16th from 9 AM to 12 PM.

In recognition of Pride Month, a panel of local LGBTQ+ residents will share their experiences of adversity and activism in a live Heritage Keepers oral history.
Attendance is free and open to the public and attendants may bring their lunch. Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. This program is wheelchair accessible.

Friday, June 16, at 6pm
Your favorite mug, your terracotta planter, your heirloom tea set: pottery is all around us, but the process behind it is much more complex than many people realize. Earth & Heat takes an expansive look at how local pottery is crafted, from native Timucuan works to contemporary potters on the island today.
The exhibit will open with a talk by Dr. Neill Wallis, Associate Curator of the Ceramic Technology Lab at the Florida Museum of Natural History. He will discuss ancient indigenous pottery in northeast Florida.
Attendance is $5 for members and a suggested donation of $10 for nonmembers. Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. This program is wheelchair accessible.

The Drifters at AIMH and Trinity
Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters are coming to town! They will participate in two separately ticketed events on May 28:
- 1-2pm at AIMH: VIP Meet and Greet with book signing and photo op - $65
- 4pm at Trinity UMC (Doors open at 2pm): Performance with opening by Callahan Male Choir - $50
Tickets for both events are available at the Museum or Trinity UMC.

City of Fernandina Beach Bicentennial Celebration
The City of Fernandina Beach, along with Fernandina Beach Main Street, Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Historic District Council, the Amelia Island Museum of History, and the Amelia Island- Fernandina Restoration Foundation are collaborating to bring you a commemorative year of events.
Fernandina Beach was established on January 1, 1825. To celebrate its impending 200th birthday, we are collaborating with local organizations to bring you a series of activities throughout 2024 which culminate with a City-wide party on January 1, 2025.
The Fernandina 200 Steering Committee is looking for a variety of diverse activities that will attract residents and visitors. An application for involvement is available on the City’s website. Possible activity ideas could include hosting a scavenger hunt, live performances, creation of a time capsule, artifact displays, children’s events, home walking tours, old-time photo booths, musical performances, local culture culinary offerings, genealogy discussions, or art exhibits and competitions.
Updates will be available on the City’s website (www.fbfl.us/200) and Facebook page.

2023 Holiday Home Tour Help Needed

Curated through the Museum’s annual Student Exhibit Program in which local high school students curate and design a museum exhibit, “Culture for Sale: Historic Nassau County Advertising” explores what we can learn about the culture of the past from advertisements.
"Preserving Amelia" Exhibit at JAX Airport - Closes June 1
The exhibit tells the story of historic preservation in Fernandina Beach, featuring treasures from the Keystone Hotel, illustrations of our beautiful downtown architecture, a large map of the historic district, and more. Special thanks to the Amelia Island TDC for their support on this exhibit.
