2025 “State of the Air” Report Earns Unprecedented Coverage and Attention
More than 3,000 media outlets covered our “State of the Air” report, released in April, including The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek, Forbes, NPR, CNN, CBS, NBC and FOX.
The report is a national air quality report card, which found 156 million people in the United States—nearly half of the population-live in areas receiving an “F” grade for unhealthy air.
Significantly, the report also focused national attention on cuts to funding and staff at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which administers vital clean air programs that protect our nation's lung health.
As the report makes clear, we still have a long way to go to achieve clean air for all. However, the proposed cuts at EPA represent the most serious threat to clean air progress in decades. We need your help to preserve this progress and oppose these cuts.

If passed, the bill would result in 13 million people losing critical healthcare coverage, which would devastate the nation’s healthcare system and eliminate an important safety net
Today, approximately 79 million people (1 in 5) rely on Medicaid for healthcare, including:
