Amna Hazbic of Gebrüder Weiss Honored With 2025 Women in Supply Chain Award
Hazbic recognized as a Rising Star for sales excellence and leadership in logistics

WOOD DALE, IL (Oct. 21, 2025) Gebrüder Weiss, a 500-year-old international transport and logistics company, announced that Amna Hazbic, business development manager for Gebrüder Weiss North America, has been named a recipient of the 2025 Women in Supply Chain Award by Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics.

The award recognizes female supply chain leaders whose accomplishments, mentorship, and examples set a foundation for women at all levels of a company's supply chain network. Hazbic was honored in the Rising Star category, which highlights young professionals whose achievements, hard work, and vision are shaping the supply chain industry.

"Amna is a dynamic professional whose determination, persistence, and creativity continue to deliver remarkable results for our customers and our company," said Mark McCullough, CEO of Gebrüder Weiss North America. "She embodies the spirit of a Rising Star, setting records, winning complex bids, and building meaningful client relationships that contribute to our continued growth in the U.S. market. We are proud to see her receive this well-deserved honor."

Hazbic has more than a decade of logistics experience spanning operations, customs brokerage, compliance, and account management prior to joining Gebrüder Weiss. In her current role, she has set internal records for both sales and profit, secured major new contracts, and strengthened long-standing client partnerships. Over the past year, she successfully closed several large and complex freight accounts, expanded key trade lane contracts, and delivered record profitability while ensuring customer value.

Beyond business achievements, Hazbic is known for her collaborative approach, advocating for clients with carriers and partners to secure the best rates and service. She credits her persistence and people-first mindset to her personal journey: born in Bosnia at the end of the Bosnian War, she immigrated to the United States with her family, experiences that instilled a strong work ethic and resilience.

"My advice to women entering this industry is simple: believe in yourself, stay persistent, and never let first impressions stop you from building meaningful connections," Hazbic said. "This award is not just recognition of my work, but a reminder that women have an important and growing role in shaping the future of the supply chain industry."
